Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Pollyplace processes and why.
Last updated: August 2, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Pollyplace website and related services (“Platform”). By using the Platform you acknowledge the practices described here.
2. Data we collect
Account data
Username, email address, password hash, profile avatar, and optional profile details you provide.
Content & activity
Projects you publish, likes, saves, views, messages you send, and reports or feedback you submit.
Technical data
IP address, browser type, device information, cookies/session identifiers, and approximate usage logs needed for security and reliability.
3. How we use data
- to create and manage accounts;
- to display portfolios and enable messaging;
- to moderate content and investigate abuse reports;
- to respond to feedback and support requests;
- to secure the Platform and prevent fraud;
- to improve features and measure aggregate usage.
4. Cookies & sessions
We use essential cookies/sessions for authentication and CSRF protection. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the Platform is used. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break login and forms.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with infrastructure providers (hosting, email, storage) under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the Platform. Public profile and published project content is visible to other users and visitors as you configure.
6. Messages
Direct messages are stored so you can use the messaging feature. Platform staff may access message content only when reasonably necessary for abuse investigation, legal compliance, or technical support you request.
7. Retention
We keep account and content data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, dispute handling, and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account; some records may remain where retention is required (for example, fraud prevention or legal claims).
8. Your choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us via the feedback form to exercise these rights.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Protect your password and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
10. Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your country). Do not register if you are below that age.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
